Get Involved with the Council

GFW REC has many opportunity for members to get involved with the council beyond just attending events and being a member. We welcome members to volunteer to be part of our wide range of committees in the area of their expertise and/or interest. Our committees and members are listed below. Cowtown Poker Run Committee
- Responsible for the planning and running of the Cowtown Poker Run which is GFW REC largest fundraiser

Public Affairs Committee
- Responsible for interfacing with the city and county to help create better rules and regulations related to development of Tarrant County.
Chair - Thad Brundrett, Brundrett Development Strategies

Programs Committee
- Responsible for the planning of the programs/events that GFW REC hosts during the year

Young Leaders Council
- Responsible for the planning of unqiue programs and events which will be of special interest to our younger members

Membership Committee
- Responsible for the development of the membership of the council and increasing the membership of the council

Mobility Committee
- Responsible for supprting policies and initiatives that increase our mobility options in Tarrant County

Annual Meeting Committee
- Responsible for planning and running the Annual Meeting

Education Committee
- Responsible for working with the organizations around the Metroplex to create systems that will educate our future in the best possible ways.

Golf Committee
- Responsible for the planning and running of the Golf tournament
