Where's the Money Coming from to Run the City, the County and the State?

Budget considerations at all levels of government affect our decisions in our businesses.  The squeeze at all levels will have consequences, both the foreseen and of course, the unintended. These leaders at the City, County and State level have great knowledge and expertise which they are willing to share.  Our interactive discussion with the panel will examine the impact on the real estate community and also provide input into our concerns and develop ways to add value to the process.  The ultimate goal will be to ensure better understanding of the process, the budget shortfalls, enhanced communication between the Real Estate Community and our government and ultimately, a positive real estate environment in Texas.

Join us for an interactive discussion with City Budget Officer Horatio Porter, County Administrator GK Maenius and Mike Morrisey, Senior Advisor and former budget head for Governor Perry.  Jeff Davis, former City Council Member and Chairman of Republic Title will moderate this interesting discussion.

Membership Levels

 

LEVELS OF MEMBERSHIP

 

Founding/Sustaining Member - $1, 250 Annually

 

Your benefits include:

  • A Founding Member shall consist of those members who became members during the initial year of membership.  After the initial year of The Council’s formation, new members at this level shall be referred to as Sustaining members.

  • Both Founding and Sustaining members shall consist of two (2) delegates to membership in The Council.

  • Each delegate is treated similarly to a Full member of The Council.

  • Founding and Sustaining members shall receive special recognition from time to time at general membership activities and special meetings and in correspondence as deemed appropriate by the Board of Directors.

Delegates named at sign up or renewal can be changed annually or with prior approval from the Board of Directors.

Full Member - $500 Annually

 

Your benefits include:

  • A Full member of The Council receives all the basic membership services.

  • Includes invitations to general membership meetings as well as special meetings called “Fireside Chats” that are held exclusively for Full, Founding and Sustaining members at no additional cost.

  • Special events and discounted rates for special events as deemed appropriate by the Board of Directors.

Associate Member - $275 Annually

 

Your benefits include:

  • An Associate member of The Council receives the basic membership services – directory listing, newsletters, bulletins and invitations to general membership activities (on a pay as you go basis).

Corporate Associate Member - $200 Annually

 

Your benefits include:

  • A Corporate Associate member of The Council receives the same basic membership services as an Associate member.

  • This membership is only available if purchased by a Founding or Sustaining member.

  • This membership category is for anyone under the age of 40 who has an interest in commercial real estate.
